Apparently the portal-driven mergings caused some
confusion in the
initial months that were later sorted out as new information was
uncovered and incorporated
into "Dawn the Last Slayer's" narratives.

Foreword: This work
is a compilation from various sources. It's a blend of narratives,
journal entries and
remembered conversations or events. I'm totally responsible
for the final result. The primary
source of the material is Clare's journal & discussions covering
the period from her
first encounter with Glory to the birth of their god-girl child, Gloriana
in our Buffy-is-Real dimension
March 2002.
The secondary sources are my own interviews and discussions with
most of the principles
involved in the two remaining un-merged dimensions. The main
purpose was to preserve
the details of the bizarre events that led to a pregnant god,
then two pregnant gods, and
their subsequent months of pregnancy until their girl, Gloriana,
was born. As a result, this
work criss-crosses over all the others at various times.
- DTLS 8/2/2010 A.D. (Glory's dimension time)
[Ed- In spite of her rather dry
earlier foreword above, DTLS actually has written a far more complex and
intriguing work
that consists of Clare's casual
discussion of her experiences - from the
tower warehouse to her unexpected
assumption of godhood during the battle between the pregnant Glory and
the enhanced Isabel in Roswell. Frequently
her
discussion transitions into detailed realtime narrative flashbacks.
In the process of this discussion, which
is spread across several weeks, Clare
is constantly interrupted by
others, including Dawn, her & Glory Hall's now 8-year old god-girl
and assorted visitors, including Glory and some
of her fleet entourage. Along the way various
trips are taken and we get glimpses
of the Greater Glory Saga,
plus
where most of the major and minor works people are and what they're doing.
Very few details are offered for some,
but DTLS assures us that the intervening/following works and added
parts to "Our Story" will fill this void.]

Notebook-I,]
Part 1: "That Time in Glory's Palace- 2010 A.D"
My name is Clare.
I'm a god.
I wasn't always a god.
Clare added these three lines to the top of the
first page with a flourish. A good story needs great
starting lines, she remembered. They were much
better than the original one under them. She read
that line.

Time's funny from one dimensional world to
another...
It went on from there through all the notebook.
Dawn had persuaded her to do it handwritten
and not to use magic. "Truth and flavor flow
best that way," she'd assured Clare almost a year ago.
Clare let her thoughts drift about her weird and unusual life.
She supposed it'd not been much more than a year,
but here on Glory's world time passed even faster
than in what everyone called Buffy's world. Funny
how names got stuck like that without conscious
planning.
Looking around this magnificent place, she recalled
that Glory, both of them, called it one of their minor
palaces. Yet, with all the surrounding estates,
it was bigger than the small town in Ohio where she'd
grown up.
She loved living here. No snow, unless she teleported to the far mountains.
None but Curupira and Tess knew the truth about
which dimension she really came from, or they'd be
shocked by the switching that had occurred. Small
town girl in the big cities to god in one year. Curupira
herself was never bothered by the nuances of
the whole thing and had kept the secret faithfully, though
Tess had misgivings.
All three had gained godhood as a direct result
of their conspiracy.

It was all like a dream.
That was why she was so conscientious about ensuring
that all the Glory & Clare dimensional lookalikes
were sought out, helped and offered immortality.
To date all had accepted, including the Sukkhal Twins.
Much of this wasn't written in the notebook.
Now that she was one of the most powerful gods,
courtesy of happenstance and the god-girl she'd
carried in her belly for three trimesters, the
tale was safely buried by time, magic and careful
non-invasive mindwarps of her own subtle and
highly effective type. She laid the notebook
down and drank water from her crystal goblet.
It was cool and many-flavored to her enhanced god-senses, as was everything.
Dawn would rework the notebook into one of her
clever narratives, Clare knew. She was almost 17 going on
maybe 50,000 or more, if you counted their guess
about the Key's true age. And she was going to get
a surprise this visit, one only Clare could give,
with Curupira's help.
Yeah, Dawn was a prodigy.
She was already a famous author, screenwriter
and producer of entertainment media in several dimensions.
Ben and Holly's venture in producing her successful
diversionary cable movie, "Gods & Demons" early on
had provided the vehicle for more. But she was
eager to extend it into the last of the two remaining similar
dimensions. "And she'll do it, too," Clare said
aloud.

[Ed- "The movie was made to employ and divert the Sukkhal Twins from Holly's
role in the pre-tower events. It's
noted in "The Twins - Sukkhal, the God-Killers" and the script's
storyline is a separate DTLS work,
"Gods & Demons." The Twins, Clare & Callie, had been the
stars of a minor cable horror series called "Gods &
Demons" in their similar dimension, before it merged the night of the
tower portals. There was no such series in
the merged dimension they found themselves in (see "Blood
Road"). They told Isabel and Tess that they simply
reverted to past practices and started raiding drug dealers
and trolling for rapists and muggers, quickly amassing
a considerable cash fortune and a long list of kills as they whittled
down the local criminal population - like they'd
done before while attending their university and earlier in high school.
DTLS has added a later work, "Sisters & Slayers"
a fictionalized movie script storyline of some their high school
years, when they'd spend many weekends with their
Sukkhal mother learning to hunt prey in the larger Ohio cities.]
Dawn was as stubborn as her sister, Buffy, was.

She was used to winning. Just having been the
Last and the Greatest Vampire Slayer of all time had lasted
less than a year before she set new goals. She
still signed onto one of Glory's now uncounted ships as a
Fleet officer for short periods to keep her Slayer
prowess at a high level, especially when ground combat
was in the offing.
Clare was watching the always ready, but identity
warded, walkthru portal to the old Sigma Gamma apartments
in the wall for a sign that Dawn was coming.
She remembered when she'd copied Glory's portalling ability and
improved on it. Now it was simple for those
with the defined DNA signatures. Like walking through a door.
That was Clare's forte. Making the magical routine.
Glory was flashy and spectacular, seemingly with no growth limits.
Clare could be too, but like Glory Hall, now mostly
poured into their girl, Gloriana, she preferred quiet efficiency
and hidden talents. Maybe she couldn't do what
Glory could, but she could get the same results without leaving
a smoking crater or a valley of twisted and broken
bodies.
She'd gone on just one voyage with Dawn, Glory
and Curupira.

Their casual violence as they slaughtered the
next resisting occupied world's Anunnaki, Enkum and Gallu and
'whatever' demon rulers, ships and armies, plus
many innocents with the collateral damage of super-tech
weapons and unbelievable levels of lethal magic,
had left Clare speechless and in tears.
Clare could have simply short-circuited their minds all at once, without killing them.
It was a trivial effort for her. And probably Glory also.
She had told Glory that.
Dawn had taken her aside and lectured her about
feeling any sympathy for the androids, the alien demons or
the Anunnaki. "If we let them live," Dawn had
said fiercely, "we'd be rescuing the innocents again and again. It's
like the idiot Knights of Byzantium that
Curupira and I hunted down around the world and exterminated. When,"
she added as proof," was the last time we encountered
a Knight looking for either Glory or me, the Key?"
Dawn had hugged the weeping and stunned little
blonde god Clare, for Dawn had grown several more inches
before stabilizing at her immortal, though short,
final height. "Clare, honey, we all love you and your Glory, but
you're just not cut out for this Slaying business."

She had kissed Clare on the mouth and face and
hair and whispered, "Go back to your little girl and let us do the
dirty slaying work that has to be done. Make
the beautiful magic for us so none have to think about death and
its effects. Some things are best left to the
imagination."
These things Clare always thought about when she was expecting Dawn.
She'd also redoubled her efforts to become more
powerful in ways that did not involve mass carnage. She'd
disregarded Dawn's accurate, but condescending,
lecture to her that time and searched out new and novel
ways to achieve magic results, working with her
Glory and counseling with Curupira and her Tess.
As she did her god powers just kept growing and growing. They amazed her frequently.
Curupira always defended Dawn without reservation,
but she was aware of both Clare and her merged Tess'
convictions about the way Dawn, Glory and she
herself never looked back to the last slaughter, as they planned
for the next...

[Ed.- The merged
Tess' dismay and misgivings to Clare/Glory about the same topic, which
she couldn't avoid,
being a part of the morphing Curupira/Tess physically, is heart-rendingly
and tearfully detailed in
"Three Days in Sunnydale, Part 4". By contrast, the Roswell Tess,
with isabel, seems to have little concern
about dealing death to the deserving. She almost killed Buffy in 43 seconds
in "Three days in Sunnydale, Part 3",
then she and Isabel participated in both the Hyperion Hotel portal slaughters
and the taking-of-the-starship mass
killings, as noted in "Blood Road".]
...Dawn walked through the portal. She was wearing a long black smocklike outer garment over her red top.
She wore a small low-slung backpack, disliking
purses. Her waist length brown hair flew behind her like wings
as she turned to espy Clare sitting on the bench
and stepped into a slow blur toward her, smiling happily.

She hugged Clare as she started to stand, kissing
her on the cheek lightly before asking, "Where's Gloriana?"
Reminding Clare of what everyone used to say
before the tower happened, that the first words out of Buffy's
mouth were usually, "Where's Dawn?"
"She's out on the lake sailing with Tess and Curupira,"
Clare pointed through one of the open colonnaded
doorways. Dawn could see a small sailboat way
out on the lake, racing in the wind. Its pale gold sail
ballooned out.
"She's out on the lake sailing
with Tess and Curupira," Clare pointed through
one of the open colonnaded
doorways. Dawn could see a small sailboat way
out on the lake...

"Gloriana loves being on the water," Clare, suddenly
shy about her writings, handed Dawn the notebook. Dawn
opened it, read the first three lines and laughed.
"Great opening lines, Clare. You've got good writing instincts."
Clare blushed at the praise.
"You've got beautiful handwriting. Mine's terrible,
so they say," Dawn stuffed the notebook into her little backpack
with a contortion of her left arm. Clare was
still blushing, so Dawn kissed both reddened cheeks again, just to
see her blush more.
Their familiarity with one another went back to the months before Buffy and Glory returned.
Clare and her Glory, and Pat, had eventually practically
adopted her and Curupira/Tess, moving them into one
of the empty first floor Glory apartments, after
purchasing the two buildings earlier. Both fondly remembered
the first evening they'd spent just talking and
then falling asleep on the downstairs bed while Curupira played
checkers upstairs, as Dawn had put it.
[ED- Clare
and Dawn's prior sibling-like relationship is detailed in several of the
parts of "Dawn the Last Slayer"
and "Three Days in Roswell".]
Together they watched the little sailboat as it fled before the breeze.
Overhead a few puffy white clouds were splattered
in the crystal blue sky. One of the two small moons
was visible as a faint crescent beyond the lake.
Both Glorys called them simply Little and Big, as the best
translation from their own languages.
Glory had laughed when questioned about the lack of originality.
Slyly, she had asked Clare, "What do you call Earth's moon?"
Clare said, "The Moon..." then shut up, her ears and face reddening. Damn her far too fair complexion.
Even as a god, she forgot how easily she still
blushed. There were some facts about her transition
to godhood that puzzled her still. It appeared
that the baseline she was when it finally took place in Roswell
was what she had to be, though optimized for
immortality.
She would try to come up with spells to hide her
several birthmarks & freckles, but her immortality would
resurface them in a few minutes. As if the change
were an imperfection needing healing. Makeup was
about the only reasonable solution after all.
Fortunately the transition had corrected any real physical
issues cell by cell.
Dawn asked, "How long?" referring to Clare's hair,
as she turned and began undoing Clare's elaborate
front wrapped braids and a tied, near-Curupiran
look at the back. Clare sighed as she did this. Both
had always been fascinated by their long hair,
often spending long periods brushing, washing and
otherwise caring for one anothers hair.
It always allowed them to relax and talk about
everything. Like what Clare and her younger sister
had done. It was not something any of the others
had had the opportunity to do, not having real
childhoods, or none at all, like Dawn.
Dawn knew that Clare and Tess had picked up this
habit, extended now to the girl Gloriana, who had
Glory's long reddish hair. Curupira and Dawn
did this too, though Curupira could never retain the
results for more than a few hours before her
body popped the ball-on-a-rope hairdo back into place.
As a result, she often just wore one of her curious
collection of gimme caps, with her hair through
the opening in the back.
The green surrounding her face and on her exposed
neck areas was like Clare's freckles. Except
early on Curupira had learned to barely morph
in Tess enough to fade the green away, though it was
hard to hold, since Tess found it confusing.
She wasn't in control, yet she was physically almost morphed in.
Clare felt Dawn deftly undoing the braids and
smoothing her hair between her hands. "What've
you been doing, rolling in the dirt?" Clare lazily
told her about the game of kick the ball and chase
the kicker that they had been playing down the
lake shore at the somewhat dusty field.
It was a game that Glory had shown her. It wasn't
soccer, but there were similarities, except for the
chasing part and that some magic was allowed.
Glory said that the name of the was just Kick.
Smoothing Clare's long sweeping blonde curls,
entertwined with the tighter former braids again, Dawn
commented, "It's been a while here compared to
back home. Your hair's longer than mine."
She and Dawn had always been doing things together
since that first evening in Sunnydale. Of all the
Sunnydale girls, they were the most normal, relatively
speaking. Tess was next, but no way was she
normal, being half of the morphing pair with
Curupira.
Dawn spoke from behind Clare, "I hear from a little
mouse that Glory's coming home for a visit soon."
She brushed from underneath with a brush from
a nearby table. After a few minutes of silence,
they exchanged places and Clare brushed Dawn's
brown hair.
Some things were magic without magic, even for
a god like herself. Sharing moments with Dawn
and the other supergirls, plus her magical little
daughter, was one of these things.
Dawn made a sighing sound. "Simple pleasures,:
she murmured as Clare continued her brushing.
"Heard anything from the Twins lately?"
Clare sniffed in disapproval. The Sukkhal sisters,
Clare and Callie were often mistaken for herself
and Glory, being the only other complete pair
of dimensional lookalikes, or dimensional clones.
[Ed. -
The supergirl Twins first appear in "Blood Road" and later in "The
Twins-Sukkhal, The
God-Killers" and subsequent works. Their 10,000 year old line was the
original owner
of the Key. Dawn made them immortal in "The Twins-Sukkhal,
The God-Killers" so they
couldn't get pregnant and eventually lose their powers to their inevitable
daughters.]
