Isabel and Tess abandoned the stolen car after Isabel changed the license plate again with
her powers.

They were in a parking lot on the seedier side of Sunnydale. Shouldering the single bag each had,
they set out for someplace to stay hidden from the Slayer Dawn and her scary circle of gods and
demons.

They had a plan, but it depended on the fragmentary information that Isabel had stolen from
Tess/Curupira's' mind  while having their immortality bestowal 'tryst on the table' in the
Crashdown Cafe in Roswell.

Of course, Tess now also had that same knowledge, power and immortality, courtesy of her
long lost sister, Isabel.

It was a long shot, but might work.

Besides who'd believe they'd go directly to where both Glorys resided ? 'Mucho cojones', Isabel
thought, if that were possible for them.

"There's apparently a tame vampire somewhere in a cemetery not too far from the Summers'
house. He found Curupira's last Key blood vial she lost near the tower. She figured it out and
told Dawn. We can start there."

Isabel was still sorting most of those chaotic acquired memories, some of which absolutely
made no sense.

[Ed. This blood was from the other dimension Dawn who was killed by her insane Buffy. See
"Dawn the Last Slayer, Part 2 of 3"  for details. The later pregnant Glory's gang used it to
dimension hop as they set up Plan-B.]

"Get a map from that store over there," Tess pointed to one displaying maps and calendars
and hobby stuff.

"How'll that help us?" Isabel sat her bag down beside a fire hydrant and looked around. This was
a transition street. To their left were pawn shops and even a wrecking yard. To the right, beyond the
next intersection, were the beginnings of an older residential area with mature trees and bushes.

She could hear the slow noises of lawn sprinklers, odd in the fall, but this was not Roswell.

"We could try some of the magic I've been exploring while you were driving...trying to classify it
and understand the rules. If I can start getting it going on a few simple ones, I believe we can
make faster progress," Tess suggested earnestly her gray eyes sparkling in the the sunlight
with the challenge.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"Worth trying." Isabel agreed amicably. Tess was usually right about these things, she had
discovered. Just as she was right about the massive charade that had enveloped them
in Roswell earlier.

Her bravery and sacrifice had been remarkable. She reached out and hugged the smaller girl
in a spontaneous action.

Looking up at her new big sister with near adoration in her eyes, Tess said, "I'm always
amazed that you risked your life for me."
...

Lonnie watched this from her stolen car. She'd been near their car, sometimes in front, often
behind. She'd changed the plates and the color every time she stopped for gas or food.

Her appearance was easily shifted with her old cloaking power and the increasing other
powers she'd craftily acquired the potential for in the Granilith chamber as Isabel bestowed
powers and immortality on the moribund Tess.

She'd let them do the hard part and see if she could score some Dawn blood along the way.

What none knew was that more strange events had occurred back in Roswell earlier in the day.
Improbable consequences of Isabel's desperate ploy to save Tess.

She walked out of the room onto the dusty circular floor, looked up with no memory of where she
was. As she tried to recall, the floor rose like a big elevator and she instinctively scrambled
to the chamber above.

It took a few moments of following the lighted walls of the many-sided chamber to see the
lower entryway through what she now knew was one of the pod chambers.

Outside she quickly desired to leave and opened the door to the fresh air of a fall afternoon.

Somewhat fearfully she looked at her hands and felt her face and body.

Who was she?
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
Many names flitted through her confused mind. Lonnie, Vilandra, Isabel, Tess,  Curupira,
Glory. Clare.  Her body told her she matched none of the smaller girls images she had, nor was
she pregnant.

So she must be Isabel or Lonnie or Vilandra.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
Or perhaps all.

She remembered touching the minds of a powerful girl named Isabel, who was saving one
of the smaller girls on the round floor outside the room where she, herself,  lay in some
half-alive state after a past terrible merging. They were unknowingly also sharing some of the
magical energy and power with another, maybe Lonnie?

Regardless, she had ridden the sharing herself to break out of her state. And
succeeded, after awhile of resting and sorting out the powers that allowed her to awake.
They were remarkable and she'd been able to assimilate them rapidly, though she was
very hungry.

Looking at the barren landscape between her and Roswell, she  decided that she must be
Isabel with the merged, probably via some Granilith event, memories of several other look-
alikes.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
These other memories were part of the bestowals.

She shook her head and thrust them aside for future study. "I'm Isabel..." she said aloud.
Gathering all her meager residual magic strength, she gestured magically.

Liz and Maria were helping sweep out the Crashdown of glass and other stuff in preparation
for the rebuilding and redecoration of the wrecked interior of the cafe.

Liz jumped as Isabel materialized in front of her. "Hi, Liz," she said casually. "I'm hungry."

Maria headed for the phone to call Michael and Max, while a panicked, but resourceful,
Liz was busy passing as much food as she could find to the big blonde.  Isabel, or whoever
she thought she was, was devouring it as fast as Liz could drop it on the counter.

"Can Roswell get any weirder?" she said aloud as the phone rang at the Evans home.
...

"I think," Tess picked up her train of thought after the satisfying hug, " that it's the combination
of our old powers, immortality, and the Curupiran powers that are slowing our adaptation time.
Like what say to trigger certain magics."

She looked around to see if that were alone on the sidewalk.

She paused and gestured at an yellow-orange striped cat across the street thinking of
making a dash between passing cars and hesitating each time. "I think you also have to
understand and plan to avoid unintended consequences...like..."

Isabel clapped her hands, because the cat was now floating half a foot above the dry grass,
quite perplexed as she moved her feet and touched nothing.

After a few explanations, Isabel was able to duplicate the trick. "It's like learning to ride a
bicycle or drive," she decided. "Also a lot more controllable than my powers are that work at a
distance."
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"Better let the poor thing go," Tess finally sighed. "I don't think it wants to run in traffic
right now."

So the two crossed the street and picked up up the cat, quieting it with a tickle and rub,
before setting her down to run into an alley between the store and a closed insurance office.

While isabel bought the map, Tess looked up and down the street and wondered if Sunnydale was
as weird as Roswell had been for her. But her life with Nasedo had been move after move, what
with his civilian job for the military and his concern for her safety.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
Hearing Isabel come up behind her, Tess greeted her, "At least I have you."

"Keep saying it and it'll be true each time," Isabel unfolded her map and they held it against the
glass of the insurance place.

"What street are we on?" Isabel asked. Tess read the crossed signs at the closest cross street.

"Ah," Isabel pointed, looking up the street on the back of the map and found it with her finger.
"Rivelo and the cross street's Hadley, as best I can sort out the memories. The phone book
says 1630, so it'd be on this side."

"About five blocks that way then?" Tess decided. "That's the closest cemetery to the Summers
house."

Very few people were visible in this neighborhood so close to the cemetery, so it was pretty quiet.

As they walked with their bags, a carload of teen boys honked several times, but Isabel just
made the Italian version of the obscene gesture she'd picked up from somewhere. She also
spoke a trigger word.

The car slowed almost to a stop, then sped off, before all 4 tires went flat with sharp bangs.
Isabel laughed, "That was easy. I think I'm getting better. This is sure more fun than waiting
for my old powers to work, or not."
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
As they neared the cemetery, Tess wondered aloud, "So, are we alien hybrid witches in
training, or what?"

Isabel looked into the sprawling cemetery, with rows of headstones and scattered mausoleums
amid the trees and frequent bushes. "Pretty spooky...and I'd say we're what Curupira is, pretty
much, because we were higher beings to begin with. Our powers, and our potential powers,
plus our new ones beginning to be apparent."

"So she's what you'd call a near-god, or a lesser god?" Tess searched for the words in her
copy of some of the green girl's memories. She  was also eying the heavy shadows lengthening
in the late afternoon cemetery as they entered the gate.

"isn't that sort of like saying you're only a bit pregnant?" Tess reasoned. "If you say you're
a god, you're a god. Drop the adjective," she proposed. "But I like the 'supergirl' name the
Sunnydale girls called themselves."

"We'll find out," Isabel answered. "First we have to find the white-haired vampire called Spoke
or Spike or something like that. He was at the portal opening and picked it up after she lost it
going to  bestow on Dawn, but the memories are a bit jumbled." Maybe they could devise some
magical way to sort and access their copied memory caches later.

"We're being watched," Tess said casually.

"Well," Isabel sat down her bag and simply blurred away at superspeed.

"Tess had no trouble following her as she pulled out something from the entrance to a
nearby mausoleum. Holding the creature up in the air, Isabel saw that it was some sort of
humanoid demon. It had an elongated  head and a rather disturbing face that resembled a
reptile's.

"Where's the tame vampire that the Slayer and her Slayer Sister won't kill?" Isabel demanded.

Fear was the primary emotion t radiated." Are you s-s-still around here, S-S-Slayer?" It lisped the
"S's" as it apparently mistook her for the Slayer. She shook it a bit... "Talk or you die!" Isabel ignored the
question.

"Down the path...then the 4th mausoleum. S-S-Spike he's called...mercy, S-S-Slayer," the demon
begged.

Isabel dropped it and it disappeared into the mausoleum, slamming the door with a bang.
She turned to Tess, who'd walked up carrying both bags.

"Can I do that trick, too?" Tess was, of course, referring to the blurring superspeed that had
been the very first stolen power that Isabel had mastered in the Crashdown.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"You just take a step and want to. It was the first thing that I tried to get away from that pregnant
god, Glory, who said she was going to kill me for what I did to their Tess."

Isabel retrieved her bag and they made their way on the grassy path between headstones
to the large 4th mausoleum. "You wanna try it?" she took Tess' bag and went up the two
steps to the big metal door. Tess banged on it...  "Looks like it's stuck or locked..."

"Tell him you're Curupira's Tess, he won't be able to tell the difference. She seemed to spend
a lot of time morphed into Tess in the public streets,": Isabel whispered lowly. "His name is Spike."

Tess smiled at the name, and pounded on the door impatiently, "Spike, get your thoroughly dead
ass here and open the door. This is Tess and I'm in a  really f......... hurry!"

The door was opened slightly and a slender little blonde peeked out, "Spikey's not at home,"
she said and started closing the door.

Tess kicked the door open with a power that surprised and delighted her. Taking a step, she
easily blurred in and pushed the blonde girl aside with no effort at all. She opened the door
wide so Isabel could maneuver in with both their bags.

"Spikey'll be angry, Slayer's demon," the girl seemed to be trying to pacify them. "Who're
you? "she asked the over-endowed statuesque Isabel.

"I'm someone who needs to find Spike," she dropped the bags and Tess shut the heavy door.

Inside it was dark and dreary, except for a bank of lights strung across one side, and what looked
like an old TV. "Tell the bloody demon-girl I'm not home!" a male voice came up from somewhere
below.

"I did, Spikey. She has a friend I don't know!" was the response.

Spike's white-haired head appeared from a hole behind the nearest sarcophagus-like thing,
"What brings you here ? Nobody needs my help anymore since everyone became a god or
something close to it," he complained.

Little Tess reached out and pulled him closer. "Ugh," she pushed him away faster. "You
stink of death and decay and yukky stuff!"

"And demons don't smell of death?" he retorted.

"Kill him!" Isabel said suddenly, just to see the reaction.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
Tess looked around, "Why?" she asked.

The blonde girl came over and got in front of Spike. "Don't hurt Spike. Dawn promised that he
wouldn't be hurt when she gave me back to him!"

"Gave you...? Who are you?" Isabel stepped beside Tess and looked down at the short blonde,
who was still taller than the petite Tess. The girl answered, "I don't know you..." the girl said,
now for the second time.

"All you need to know is that I'm...Tess' sister...but I don't know you..." Isabel held out her hand,
wondering why she couldn't dredge any information up on this girl from her pilfered memories.

"Hi! I'm Buffy!" the girl eagerly grabbed her hand. "Are you a demon, too?"

"Why not?" Isabel responded. She was getting suspicious of this blonde. "I thought Buffy
was living with the god Glory?" she mused aloud, slowly extracting her hand from the
blonde's.

"Oh, she is!" the girl said brightly. "But there are two god Glorys now, The one that's going to
have  a baby and the one the other Buffy lives with. I know it's confusing, I used to be confused,
but one's fat in the stomach now, like this," she made a pregnant arc over her tummy with her
hands.

"They say I'm a robot," she continued, "but I don't think I am really." Sometimes they do call me
the Buffy-Bot, which I don't like," she said disdainfully.

            "They say I'm a robot...but I don't think I am really."
Tess reached out a hand and touched the the blonde's
face. "See," she said to Isabel, "She IS a robot!"

"Yeah," Isabel said with some feeling," And what's a piece of crap vampire doing with a
robot copy of the Slayer's sister?"

"I'm Spike's girlfriend," the blonde said sincerely.

"Isabel laughed chillingly, "The vampire has a robot girlfriend? How very pathetic!"

Tess ventured her own comment, "So that must mean the robot's still a virgin?"

Isabel almost choked with laughter as Spike spluttered in protest.

The bot answered, "I don't understand. I never was a virgin..." Spike nudged her,
"they're putting on us," he whispered. "Oh, a joke. How funny, Ha-Ha." she tried to laugh.

"What do you two bleeding unfunny rejects from hooker training school really want?"
he blurted out, still not coming from behind the bot.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
Isabel ignored his bravado, "Dawn said that you know where they put the blood sample
from the tower warehouse. She's misplaced it and asked us to backtrack. You didn't drink
it did you?" Isabel became all business-like.

"I couldn't. It's got Key and other magic stuff in it. It'd probably dust me good," he protested.

"I don't have it  I put it in my fridge after that night." He grew talkative remembering when he had
had a prominent role to play. When Buffy needed him. In the five months afterward, Dawn and her
new 'Supergirl' friends and formed a separate group, gradually almost ignoring most of the
others, including himself.

When Buffy had finally come back, arm-in-arm with her former nemesis Glory, Spike realized
his time was over. He'd retreated with the bot Dawn had given him earlier and drowned himself
in melancholy and cheap drink. He could hardly bring himself to even touch the bot. She reminded
him of better times. She may as well be a virgin.

"It was from the other Dawn, according to the other Glory, the preggers one. So she said," he
explained. "You dropped it when you came in as the green bit...girl," he looked at Tess.

"Well, she wants it now. Do you have any idea where it wound up?" Tess improvised, "She
and Clare left for New Mexico and forgot to tell us when."

"Yeah, I did think you'd be going with 'em. Planning on taking the Glory Express to catch
up?  Nobody tells me anything anymore," he complained.

"Poor Spikey. I'll read to you naked," the bot offered, still between the girls and the vampire.

Spike ignored her. He had to. She was so willing to please. If only she'd learn to not be so
obvious in front of others, especially these two obnoxious visitors. It always reminded him she
only looked like Buffy.

Isabel blurred and was behind Spike.

"Glory Express?" she asked, grabbing both his shoulders. "And where is it?...No more vampire
crap!"

Her grip was like a pair of vises. He could feel bones beginning to splinter. "Stop your squeeze.
I'm breaking!" he groaned. She released him and spun him around so fast his feet never touched
the floor.

Lonnie watched from her vantage point at a small chip-out she'd enlarged near a roof corner.
It looked like they'd found the right point to press on for the Key blood.

"Destroy the robot!" Isabel told Tess.

"No, No - it's in the freezer in her home...Buffy's basement...Glory," he cried out quickly.

Isabel dropped him. "Thanks. Need anything for this dump? Cash?" she guessed.

Tess was lightly holding the bot's wrists as it anxiously watched Spike and Isabel.
"I can't move my arms. Tess is very strong," she said simply. "Are you going to leave
now?"

Isabel walked over to her bag, pulled out her large purse and peeled half a dozen hundreds
from a roll of what had once been ones she'd altered with her old powers, significantly
being enhanced by the new as each day went by

Grabbing the bills, Spike stuffed them in his pockets.

"Don't tell Dawn we had to come here," Isabel ordered. "We should have known where it was.
Tess had forgotten. It was pretty hectic those early days," she made it up.

"Yeah, you're forgiven, except for my shoulders..."

Tess interjected, "What about the Glory Express question Isabel asked?"

"Glory sort of teleports around dragging Buffy along as her constant companion," he
told his biased view of it all. "We call it the Glory Express. They're always popping in,
usually together, sometimes just Glory looking for her if Buffy's away for more than a
short while. If it weren't so damned blatant, it'd be cute."

He was very bitter.

Tess looked at the shabbily-dressed bot, her dirty clothes, a few rips here and there,
and her shoes were coming apart. "Make him get this robot some new clothes and shoes."
she suggested.

"New clothes? For me?" the surprised bot echoed happily.

Tess still held the creature's wrists. "She's so pathetic..." she looked at Isabel, then the
bot. "Isabel, what would happen?"

The two sisters, so intimately linked by the transfer of powers in the chamber under the
Granilith, frequently had only to speak a word or two and the other knew the rest.
"You can try...she's a machine, though...unless you can start a conversion to..."

Tess twirled her fingers at Spike. Wordlessly, Isabel turned him around from behind again,
facing away from the bot.

Standing on her tiptoes, Tess flipped both the bot's hands behind her and quickly placed
her mouth on the bot's. The creature was immediately compliant as her programming kicked
in.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
She really had a soft, life-like mouth, Tess realized. It was a lot like a real kiss.

It was the bot who made the next move and began initiating a french kiss that Tess had to
return to continue the bestowal based on her memories of how Isabel had done it to her.
It was a bit difficult to do so with the bot's hands held behind her waist, so Tess released them
and held her in a more classic embrace.

The bot reacted and did the same.

It was getting intense and the bot was an expert. Tess wondered when the bestowal would start.

Spike worried at what was going on and tried to turn his head. Isabel smacked him hard on the top
of his head. "Move and die, " she whispered loudly. He seemed to respond only to dire threats.

She turned her own head and watched the odd bestowal scene,

Tess was about to give it up when she felt a wave of energy start from her toes and shoot up her
legs, through her belly and then to her mouth...and into the bot's. The bot seemed to freeze
at that point and tried to channel the energy.

Tess felt something unfamiliar in the feedback stream and immediately reacted to counter it
with a variant of her mindwarp.

The stealth probing was sidetracked into the fake pathway that led nowhere, but seemed as if it
were the real thing. Someone not familiar with mass mindwarp would never have been able to
do this. She guessed that this probe in the feedback stream  was akin to what Isabel had said she
did to the Sunnydale Tess, who didn't have her own much more extensive mindwarp experience.

Using the mindwarp as a cloak, Tess expanded herself into the bot's mind-like consciousness.

It was computer familiar, all electrons and charges, and bits and bytes, and some sort of holographic
like storage array in a device that did not belong. It had  the familiar whiff of what she now
knew was so-called high tech magic. Isabel and the other 2 aliens had been called super-technology
hybrid demons by all three Sunnydale supergirls in the Crashdown.

This was similar, but not the same.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
Tess discovered that the device, near the center of the bot's head, was interconnected to every part
of the bot's non-mechanical body parts - the skin, eyes, mouth body cavities and such.  It quickly
became apparent that the bot was a clever construct  of a technological magic core and tactile skin,
with a separate electro-mechanical skeleton.

In fact, the bot was magically organic in the deep interior and in the outer skin areas,.

Forcing the kiss harder on the still paralyzed bot, Tess drove in on a massive river of energy and
a mind warp wave that stunned her in its sheer power.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
She breached the alien control device as if it were tissue paper.

Inside, the bot's consciousness was cowering. "Save me," she pleaded.  "My name is...I don't remember.
I was once a girl until they poured me into this prison."

Tess freed her with little effort, so great was her power now. "Follow me," she led the girl's consciousness
to the entrance she had blasted in the magic device. "Here," she fed the way to control the device
to the girl.

"I'm going to leave you now with some magics ticking away to convert you to full super-
technology organic, using that thing in your head. You should be able to slowly gain full control
as the days go by," she told the girl.

"Then what?" the girl pleaded. "I have no life except for that vampire and what programming was
forcing me to do all those things. I'm useless as a robot and as whatever I am becoming," she
wailed.

"Look," Tess decided, "Until you're fully organic again, pretend you're the simple-minded bot,
but no sex or intimate contact. The vampire might detect the changes."

"That's easy," the girl agreed. "Do you want me to stake him?" she asked hopefully.

"No," Tess reluctantly responded. "That'd piss Dawn off. My cached memories tell me she
has a blind spot where he's concerned."
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"Now, the first time afterward that you can see Buffy, the Slayer Dawn's older sister, tell her
everything. Tell her you want to serve her Glory, the one that's not pregnant. That you have
both knowledge and magical abilities regarding super-technology. And you will. Here,
here's a mindwarp overlay that will guide you whenever you want to access and control
external devices anything like the one inside you."

"So,"  the nameless girl said," you're giving me a reason to live, a purpose? Why would Glory
need me? She's a powerful god."

"Just a hunch, honey, just a hunch. I'm always displaying wild talents under pressure. This is
one of those times," Tess was very sure at this moment that this was the right thing to do.

What she did not realize at the time was that her selfless act was going to result in one of the
more important contributions to Glory's near future activities.

And that both of them would receive undreamt of rewards for this almost casual reckoning
in a small room.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"But,"  the girl worried, "I don't even have name. I'm just the 'Buffy-bot' to everyone."

Tess searched her cache of Curupira/Tess memories. There was one of a headstone.
"From now on, you're Buffy Anne, with an 'e'."

"Buffy-Anne, with a hyphen? That'd be unique," she brightened, as much as could be
apprehended in this non-physical place.

"Sure," Tess agreed, "with a hyphen. Like Mary-Kate."

"And who are you, another god?" she said worshipfully.

"Just a hybrid supergirl trying to get out of Dodge," Tess replied. "I may just be some sort of
near-god now, though."

"No, I mean your name."

"Tess Harding from Roswell."

"Then, I'm Buffy-Anne Harding, if you don't mind," Buffy-Anne said firmly.

Flattered, Tess reached out and mentally hugged her for a long time.
"I have to go, before Isabel gets frantic," she finally said

"Isabel's your sister. Can I be your sister, too?" Buffy-Anne asked.

Tess hugged her mentally again. "Join the club of undiscovered siblings," she
laughed lightly and slipped out of the girl's rapidly expanding mind.

Tess released Buffy-Anne and stepped back.

Isabel was in the process of strangling Spike. "What's the robot doing to my sister?"
she screamed at him. "A little more and off pops your head..."

"Isabel," Tess blurred to her, "It's OK. We need to talk alone. Do something with that thing
so he won't hear."

Obligingly, Isabel slammed his head against the sarcophagus a dozen times in a heartbeat.
Then she tossed his almost lifeless body inside and simply threw the nearby lid on top with
one fluid motion.

Wiping dust off her hands, she hugged Tess.

"Hi, my name's Buffy-Anne Harding, I'm Tess' new sister," the bot came over and
held out her arms for a hug from her other new sister.

"Hug her, Isabel... It's a long story," Tess released Isabel.

Shrugging, Isabel enveloped the bot, surprised to see her crying real tears as she looked
up from between Isabel's breasts and into her eyes. "There's a person behind those eyes,"
she marveled, looking over at a beaming Tess, who looked like she'd just given birth.

"What HAVE you done?"

Experimentally, Isabel bent down a bit and kissed the girl on the lips. She was real and she
kissed back. Isabel broke the kiss carefully. This was Tess' bestowal. No need to confuse the
poor girl.

The three girls sat down on the battered sofa and had a long, hand-holding discussion.

The Roswell girls had found their first, completely devoted, ally in Sunnydale.

As Tess picked up both their bags, Buffy-Anne was removing the sarcophagus lid with
no effort. She slipped into her fake bot persona, "Spikey, did the bad girl hurt you?" she
looked back at the girls and winked.

"Come on, Spikey, I want new clothes. Stop pretending you're asleep." She roughly dragged the
moaning and barely alive (or undead)  vampire out onto the floor.

Lonnie was still trying to understand all this kissing and bestowing stuff. Could she do it?
Did she really want to share her burgeoning powers with anyone?

She slipped back away from her peephole crack and onto the mausoleum roof to watch the
sisters leave.

Buffy-Anne step-walked Spike to the door and he stirred awake, as vampires do when they
begin healing. She yelled out the door, "Please come back and visit!  Spike needs the money
to buy me things!"

isabel stopped on the steps and looked back, "Buy her some new clothes, you worthless bag of
crap, or I'll come back and break all your arms and legs so she'll have to take care of you for weeks.
Spending all the money I gave you, too" she laughed sarcastically. "Won't that be fun?"

"I could take care of you, Spikey," Buffy-Anne began rifling his pockets. "Let me have the money."

At this, Spike forced himself to stand, pushing aside the bot's hands. "New clothes. OK, OK,"
he mumbled, "OK." he watched the two girls with narrowed bloody eyes, wishing all sorts of evil
onto them. If he only had some of those powers. Or knew someone who did.

Buffy-Anne recalled all she had been forced to do from her prison inside. What would it
be like to drive her fist through his head or heart? But she'd promised. She returned to
watching the girls with Spike.

Outside, the two sisters walked back toward the entrance. It was getting twilight and the sun
was just below the horizon, judging from the few patches of sky visible. Isabel reached over and
took her bag from Tess.

"What are those?" Tess pointed with her now free hand. There were 5 or 6 figures coming out of the
bushes against the fence by the entrance.

Isabel dropped her bag. "It's dark so they must be vampires. Here's where we get to practice.
No stakes. And let's try to not resort to any highly visible fireworks, sis," she said very calmly.

The vampires, now in ugly mode, seemed to be two smaller females and three of possibly four
males.

You take the girls and I'll take the guys," Isabel spoke quickly and charged at blurry speed.

With appalling effect, she simply held out both arms and clothes-lined one vamp, sending its
head flying like a well-thrown basketball. It stuck against the fence as it and its body dusted
in two roiling piles, one small, the other large.

She snapped the head off another from her position behind them. It essentially exploded into a
minor dust storm. The other two males had still glimpsed only a barely visible blur, while the
almost catastrophic demise of their companions had not registered in their minds.

They were still running forward, following the faster females, who were already in obvious trouble
with the little girl they'd thought would be easy pickings.

Tess wasn't tall enough to do the decapitation thing like Isabel, so she'd just blurred to one side
and and was systematically plucking the limbs off the nearest unlucky vampire. Tossing them aside like
so many tree branches. The vamp fell to the ground with only one leg left, leaking from the
many empty holes and screaming.

The other female vampire was in the process of turning to run away when Tess eliminated her
head using  the other vamp's ripped off leg as a club swung at superspeed. The vamp erupted in a
fountain of dust.

The remaining ambulatory vampires had screeched to a halt a short distance from Tess, who still
had the now broken leg in her hands and was eying them as her next home runs. Instead she
dropped the limb.

Both suddenly realized that they were trapped between what appeared to be two Slayers. They were
aware that as many as three super-Slayer types had hunted in Sunnydale, but they had been lucky
so far in not meeting them.

Their luck had apparently run out.

Not thinking of anything better to do, Tess and Isabel simply ran toward one another at blur speed
and crushed one vamp, creating a pancaking sheet of dust between them as the creature disintegrated.

Tess improved on the  process by turning and running through the remaining fleeing vampire at
superspeed. It exploded in a half-sphere of dust, expanding briefly at near sonic speed.

Both sisters came back and low-fived, since Tess couldn't reach up enough to do a high one.
with Isabel. They began dusting one another off. "Nasty work," Isabel commented as she bent
forward so Tess could shake out her hair.

She had dropped her filthy leather jacket on the ground and Tess had removed her
dust-stained green sweater.

"What about the declawed one?" Tess glanced at the still thrashing one-limbed vamp nearby,
while she dusted Isabel's back. Then she turned around so Isabel could clean her own hair
and clothes with her hands and fingers.

Isabel interrupted the cleaning abruptly.

"No witnesses," Isabel said, walking over to the gruesome thing. "God, I hate all this dust!" she
looked around for something to to kill the vamp that didn't involve using her own body parts.

Tess had finished shaking vamp dust out of her long blonde hair and was twisting it up off her
neck.  She joined Isabel. "Give me your shoe," she pointed to one of Isabel's shoes, which had
a low heel, unlike her own soft shoes..

"It's your kill," Isabel stood on one foot and handed a shoe to Tess.

Holding the shoe like an axe, Tess slammed it into the head of the screaming female vampire
who was wriggling on the ground using her one leg.

The vamp's head exploded, but, as Tess intended, the resulting dust cloud went totally away
from them. Isabel watched the little blonde do this deed and realized, for at least the fourth time
since she had appeared in Roswell, that Tess had the ability to be so sweet and then to
calmly kill, without lasting remorse, a few seconds later.

She usually pleaded that she didn't remember how she'd done it.

The answer had always been right in  front of Isabel. Among all the lies they'd been spoon-fed,
they now knew that Max was no king, Michael was his brother and she and Tess were sisters.

But there was more. And now she thought she knew.

"Nice shoe," Tess handed it back to Isabel. "Pretty big, though, Tens?"

"I'm a big girl," Isabel responded defensively, putting the one shoe back on and sneaking a
look at Tess' small feet. "Compensation genes," she said.

Isabel then reached out and lightly cupped Tess' cheek and jaw in her left hand. 'Besides being
my sister, you're also the Warrior, aren't you, not Michael?"

"Besides being my sister, you're also the Warrior, aren't you, not
Michael?"..."Yes," she almost whispered, "I'm the  Warrior."
...Tess slowly knelt  on the grass, looked up, and said
softly,"Your majesty...my Queen...my sister..."

Stunned by the totally unexpected second
revelation, Isabel knelt beside Tess and began to pull
her to her feet by her hand. "Sister is the only one that counts..."

Tess was silent for almost a minute.

Even in the deepening shadows, Isabel could see the hesitation in those expressive gray eyes.

Tess put both her hands on Isabel's and pressed it  against her face more. "Yes," she almost
whispered, "I'm the Warrior.  Even they and the falsifiers of the book had no idea. Nor Nasedo."

Still holding Isabel's hand to her small face, Tess slowly knelt  on the grass, looked up, and said
softly, "Your majesty...my Queen...my sister..."

Stunned by the totally unexpected second revelation, Isabel knelt beside Tess and began to pull
her to her feet by her hand. "Sister is the only one that counts," she embraced Tess and they
both began crying at  the strangeness of their lives.
