As the tableau, which had lasted only a minute or so, ended, Spike watched the two girls
embracing and crying as he stood in the darkness past the open door. "Women," he said
with a curious tone.

Buffy-Anne  was smoothing the hem of her dirty short skirt. She was still debating whether to
kill Spike and take the money or wait until later and kill him. She decided to wait like Tess
said. Maybe Buffy or Glory would let her kill him for all he'd done to her when she was a
only a girl in a robot.

Spike looked at her, "Did you see that?

"Of course I did, Spikey," she responded in simple Bot-Speak. "The bad girls exploded the
vampires by running really fast and breaking them. The little one ripped the arms and a
leg off one. Tess is very strong."

She held out her arms to show him the bruises on her wrists. He looked and ignored her.

What a stupid vampire, she thought. Robots don't bruise. And while she looked the bruises
began healing..

She examined her wrists in delight. Bruises meant she was already becoming more magically
organic. She wanted to run outside and hug and kiss Tess for saving her. If Tess would let her
worship her, she would.

Well, like a sister would worship her.

"Yeah, those two killed 6 of the meanest  vamps around in about the blink of an eye. I've never
seen anyone, even Glory or Curupira, use those styles of fighting and killing. No stakes. Just
like they were making it up as they went along."

Buffy-Anne responded insightfully, "Maybe it was just a game to them. Or they were bored and
wanted to try more different ways."

"Huh," Spike grunted and looked at her like she was just doing her usual babbling.

Now back at the phone booth, Tess called a cab from that phone, not wanting to use her cell
phone for fear of someone finding out they were in Sunnydale before they got the Dawn blood.
She had an idea about how to use her powers to  trick the phone, but she needed another one
that wasn't traceable to her to try it.

Lonnie was parked down the block with her car lights out. She was learning patience, a virtue
she sorely lacked in the past. She also needed to ditch her car, but not until she knew where
they were going tonight.

When the cab arrived, it was dirven by an older woman, not a man. She suggested that that they
be careful and shouldn't be out at night in this part of Sunnydale. "Bad things happen here
after dark, " she asserted as they drove off, Tess in front and Isabel in back with their bags.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"I'll take you to someplace nice, but not too expensive, to get a room," the cabdriver told
them protectively. Both smiled. It wasn't likely that they needed protecting.

Still, the thought was comforting.

'Some place nice' turned out to be a multi-story business traveler's hotel about haf a mile from
Buffy's home. "Sunnydale must not have much in the way of zoning," Tess recalled places she'd
been over the years.

"Not bad after being on the road for 2 days without stopping for a room," Isabel  agreed as
she checked out the bathroom. "Separate shower and a shower in the tub, too." She
started running water in the shower.

Both peeled off their still vampire dust laden clothes and tossed them on the floor bedside the dresser.
"Know a spell to clean us?" Isabel looked at the petite Tess naked for the first time as she walked
over without  false modesty into the bathroom to join Isabel in the shower.

She was carrying her shampoo and a bar of black Spanish soap.

"The simple magic of soap and water," Tess bumped Isabel's breasts as she ducked under
the shower spray.

"The simple magic of soap and water," Tess bumped Isabel's breasts as
she ducked under the shower spray.

"Turn around," she told the taller girl. With no hesitation, Tess started washing Isabel's back while
Isabel soaped her front after getting the bar from Tess. Then she did the same for Tess.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"This is heaven after all that vampire crap on us," Tess leaned back. "Shampoo?" she handed
the plastic bottle to Isabel and leaned her head back. Isabel loved the scent of Tess' shampoo
and it was obviously  satisifying to have her hair washed this way.

"Your hair's so fine it's  almost like...magic, " Isabel giggled.

Tess let her rinse it out in the shower spray and wiped the water from her face with a face towel
from the towel bar. Then she returned the favor with Isabel's shorter blonde hair. She had to
stand on her toes to do this.

Both rinsed again under the shower, the shorter Tess in front.

Then they toweled off, helping one another with their backs and hair. "Better than having a
brother?" Tess laughed. "Sisters are so much more useful then brothers, "
Isabel agreed.

Later, after blow drying one another's hair, they did their toenails and fingernails. Talking
all the time.

"Very sisterly," Isabel was putting the gloss coat on Tess' last toenail. "Is it OK for the
Queen to do this for her Warrior sister?"

Tess sighed at the pleasure and completeness she felt at the moment. She had no more
secrets, as best she could recall. It felt good to be that way.

"The Queen can do anything she wishes for the Princess," she decided. "Ohhh, Princess
and a Warrior, too," Isabel admired the pair of little black hearts she'd put on Tess's
big toenails with one of the small metal stencils she'd found in Tess' rather large supply
of girl goodies.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"Where do you get all this stuff? Not in Roswell?" she held up one foot for Tess to see.

"Catalogs. I'm a catalog freak," Tess was looking at one now. "You can order all sorts of
brand name stuff from a couple of reliable beauty catalogs, whether in Roswell or on the
moon. Lots of bargains, too." With all her and Nasedo's  traveling, often to out of the way
military bases, she'd learned about catalogs quickly.

She turned another page down to mark a possible future purchase.

"You can't share moments like this with a brother...who wasn't really your brother,"
Isabel came back to that topic again.

"At least," Tess suppressed a giggle, "Not without changing his reputation at school, I'd think."

The image of Max doing Isabel's nails was pretty funny to both of them. Isabel punished
Tess for creating the image by holding one of her feet and tickling her until she was
bouncing around in a laughing fit.

"Well," Isabel finally stopped, "The Queen quickly finds the weakness of her valiant
Warrior and vanquishes her with one finger. Guess which one?"

At that, Tess jumped on Isabel and they briefly had a tickling war on the bed until both were
laughing so hard they couldn't do anything anymore.

"Food?" they both said at once. The immortality hunger was sudden and intense.

The restaurant in the hotel couldn't serve to the rooms this late, but suggested that they
call the pizza place nearby and deliver to the lobby, after calling down to the lobby
to OK the delivery from there to the room.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
Apparently this was some sort of common practice here.

Barely holding the door open, Isabel took the 4 full-sized pizzas and drinks. "Having a party?"
the deliverer, a teen boy, looked interestedly at Isabel in her bulging shirt, then more intensely
at Tess lounging on the bed in one of Kyle's big blue football jerseys.

She'd abscounded with several and kept them in her travel bag she'd hidden inside the Granilith
entrance and retrieved after Isabel rescued her.  It was an old habit acquired in her travels to
always have a runaway bag packed and hidden somewhere.

Always the long blonde hair, Isabel thought and blocked the view with her body while she paid him
very slowly.  Giving him ample opportunity to look at her partially exposed boobs. When he
was almost ready to pop his eyeballs out of his head, isabel was satisifed he'd forgotten Tess.

He probably also had forgotten his name. She shut the door heartlessly.

"That was cruel and unusual punishment," Tess opened one of her two pizza boxes. "Maybe
we should've invited him in. He was sort of cute. Just a little young for two hybrid hags
like us."
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"Speak for yourself," Isabel began shaking hot sauce on her first pizza. She handed the bottle
to Tess, "How many bottles do we have left?" Tess asked. "Two. We'll get a dozen or so tomorrow,"
Isabel promised.

In a short while of messy eating, both had fiiished off two pizzas each. Tess gathered up the
boxes and put them all the other debris outside beside the door. There was nothing left of
any of the 4 pizzas.

After brushing her teeth, Isabel slipped into the large bed. She was used to her own twin, so
it seemed huge. "Any preferred side?" she called out to Tess, who was still in the bathroom
brushing.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"Left, your left, closest to the bathroom, I think," she answered after rinsing.

"OK," was the response.

Tess turned out the lights, crawled in the bed and sprawled on her side of the bed. Some outside
street lights tossed light and shadows across the ceiling here on the 4th floor.

"Isabel?" Tess said in a low voice, "You know we're killers here in Sunnydale now, too."

"True,"  Isabel agreed in an equally soft voice. "but we're immortal supergirls now and we have
to do a little cleanup in appreciation."

"So, we're still the good guys...uh...girls now?" Tess was already sounding sleepy.

Isabel felt serene for the first time in over six months. In control and with a new sister she'd
never believed possible even a week ago, She'd worked herself into a fugue over her inability
to rescue Tess, continuing the facade that Alex was dead and acting 'normal'.

She reached for and found Tess' right hand and squeezed it. Tess was already asleep,
but her fingers curled around Isabel's larger hand anyway. Isabel implusively rolled to Tess
and kissed her lightly on her cheek before lying back again.

Tess sleepily rolled toward her onto her side and Isabel could hear and feel her slow breathting.

Isabel fell into the deepest sleep she'd ever had. But she still dreamed. She was watching Tess
being stalked by Glory and she wanted to help, but couldn't move. Her enhanced mind began
a quest for solutions as she slept and her body changed even more.

Tess didn't dream at all that night, though she would other nights. Her mind and body continued
the changes begun in the chamber under the Granilith when Isabel had rescued her.

All in all, immortality and superpowers were agreeing well with the sisters Evans and Harding.

Lonnie spent a hungry and restless night in the back seat of her car in the parking lot of the hotel.
'How were these two girls able to afford the hotel?' she wondered, 'When I'm out here in this
car?'

The next morning, the girls were ravenous again, probably a result of the rapid changes in their
bodies as they rested in the night after the excitement of besting the vampires with their new
powers.

They were still discovering one of the more unexpected effects of immortality plus active
superpowers. They felt as if they were starving, needing to replenish the energy expended
in simply sleeping, as their still growing internal magical reserves insistently demanded
filling.

The hotel's restaurant was open for breakfasts, lunch and evening meals for the guests.

They headed for  one corner near a window overlooking the nearest business square, which had a
fountain in the center. There were other office buidlings around the square. The two girls ate like
they'd never had food before.

"Where's all this going?" Tess sipped at her third merlot. "I usually quit at one glass of white zinfindel
before it starts affecting me. Red wine is normally something I avoid, it seemes to hit harder."

"It only takes 2 glasses to really affect...little...petite women like you," Isabel drained her second
pint of draft beer. "Whereas big girls like me often have a hollow leg for beer." She was remembering
another time and another place for a second.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
She raised her glass and caught the waiter's attention.

Aside from feeling good, neither girl was being affected by the drinks at all. Their magics were
capturing and storing the energy from whatever they ate or drank, while their immortality handled
any significant deviation from optimum body condition as a trigger to use magic to correct the
excursion.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
Tess ordered a second meal, heavy on the pasta, which her body seemed to crave now. "Do
you feel it?" she reached out to Isabel. "Feel my pulse. It's really low now, like you said it would be.
Have you unearthed any more details from your acquired memories?  Mine are still whirling about."

"Yeah," Isabel said, "but not how low it eventually is supposed to be." She checked her pulse and
Tess' at the wrist then went back to her meal. Hers was significantly lower that Tess, probably because
of her rapid desperate progress while battling the pregnant Glory in the Crashdown.

Perhaps meeting a challenge and using the magic somehow made the changes occur faster. Like
physical exercise.

"We were a good team with those vampires, weren't we?" Tess said between bites.

"You said it, sis," Isabel responded, She and Tess were still getting used to calling one another
sister. They'd avoided it in Roswell after they found out. Just saying it now was like a magic spell to
both.

"You sure pick up things fast. We make fine Slayers. We're no longer virgins...at least in that respect."
Both smiled at one another. It was fun having a sister to spill all your secrets to.

Looking around the fairly well populated, glass and dark wood restaurant, Isabel spoke more quietly
to Tess, "We have to get inside the Summer's house and get that Dawn blood Spike told us about."

"How'd you guess there'd be some just lying around?" Tess was doing her usual thing of cleaning off her
utensils with the cloth napkin. Then she placed them neatly on her plate. Isabel watched fascinated. She
was getting used to Tess' enchanting little habits.

She wondered who'd taught her to do it.  It was most likely something she'd picked up as a little girl.

"Look, between what I heard about the two Glorys, the bits and pieces from Curupira and the other Tess'
memories, I deduced that there had to be a supply for that Glory, the pregnant one now. She didn't bleed
Dawn like the Glory that succeeded did. The memories are pretty hazy about all that happened before
the portal stuff."

"But Dawn could've destroyed it," Tess folded her hands on the table edge, almost as if in prayer. She
tilted her head slightly, a sign Isabel had come to recognize  that meant she was thinking about something
puzzling.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"But," Isabel finally said, "I believe that Dawn's Slayer sister and that Glory were gone a long time, too.
So it'd have been a complete mystery to her until the blonde host, Clare, and the other Glory arrived
many weeks later. Unless Curupira/Tess told her. I can't tell from the fragmentary memories yet."

"By then, it'd become simply little loose ends scattered about. The 'little' being a container of some sort
labeled, "Key Blood' or somesuch."

[Ed.- Due to their scattered memories stolen from Tess/Curupira, Isabel was right for the wrong reasons.
In "Dawn the Last Slayer, Parts 1 & 2," Clare tells Dawn one version  of the blood's origin and somewhat
later another version is offered up. Based on the  fact that there was extensive pre-May 22 portal dimensional
travel with the other Dawn's blood, and that she was later  killed by that Buffy, her last blood was probably
consumed in travelling to Sunnydale to obtain a larger sample from the wounded Dawn - following
the hospital fight with that Glory.  This means that the sample is probably the current Dawn's blood.

"And I'm another loose end!" Tess realized. "I was essentially dead in the Granilith stasis chamber,
so my other dimensional self must've wound up merging with the little green girl, Curupira, instead.
Apparently imperfectly, from what we 'remember'. Wonder if yours merged with you and you don't
know it?

[Ed.- The 'other dimension Isabel', as noted in the prior 2 works parts, was also  captured by the Granilith
              stasis chamber:
She came out  several days after Tess was rescued by Isabel. Tess and Isabel don't find out about
this until later, long after Dawn discovers her during a call to Kyle and becomes curious, since Isabel
and Tess had already encountered Buffy and Spike on their pass through Sunnydale. Dawn correctly
deduces what happened and decides to use the information to her and Kyle's personal advantage.

"I don't feel like two people," Isabel had become busy changing some of the 100's that had been ones
into 20's in her lap out of sight of anyone. She'd noted that they were being checked more closely, while
no one bothered with 20's. She was sure they were perfect duplicates. And she even randomly altered the
serial numbers to avoid that problem.

Isabel had used her one real bill as the model, even duplicating it down to the magnetic strip and the
microscopic readable thread. She'd checked the process results thoroughly well before the Sunnydale
girls came to Roswell. She'd needed untraceable cash for all her travels and attempts to find a way
to rescue Tess.

"Want me to do that?" Tess offered, leaning forward on the table slightly. "I'm pretty good at it and I
don't even have to be near or touching them."

"So I've heard," Isabel fiinshed her task and put the new 20's into her purse in one of the zippered
pockets. "Next time. But long distance duplication and matter manipulation does seem useful.
we can find out later."

"Rest room...makeup?" Tess suggested. Isabel put down the bill, along with a generous tip for the
somewhat flirtatious male waiter.

They were getting used to one anothers habits. After putting on lipstick and brushing their hair in front
of the mirrors, they checked one another out. "Perfect." they said together, and laughed.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
Lonnie watched them come out of the door, looking happy and well-fed. She, herself, was miserable
and starving. She'd managed to catch the money-changing scam from outside the restaurant, but had
no idea how to do it herself it at the moment.

So she improvised, still needing to follow the girls. Tossing out a general mind warp, her mind probe version of
the Tess one, practiced a bit, and entered the door as a waitress. She picked up an order and headed to the
front door, cloaking the tray and changing back to her street clothes appearance.

Outside, she ran to her car with the tray and gobbled up several mouthfuls before starting and following
the girls. Stopping the car each time she got within a block of them, altering the car's color also. At each stop,
she devoured the food on the tray with her bare hands, the meals for 4 people, as if it were on fire.

Her stomach and magic reservoirs sighed in happiness, finally.

She picked at some of the vegetables that had fallen onto her pants. Then she licked them off her fingers.
She even licked the plates clean. "Good food," she said aloud. Looking at herself in the vanity mirror,
she wiped her face clean with the back of her hand.

How, she wondered, could those two manage to slay vampires, eat like pigs and still look like they'd stepped
out of an Alloy or Girfriends catalog? She needed to change her appearance. She was too conspicious.
But she could hold her cloaking and mindwarp only for a limited time, minutes at the most. How could Tess
have managed it for so long, even before she was trapped at the Granilith?

She tossed the tray and empty plates into the back seat with a flip of her arm. They clattered noisily.
Now she could devote her full attention to following the two weird sisters.

Outside on the sidewalk, they headed on foot for the few blocks to Buffy's house on in the 1600 block of
Rivelo. They could have been tired at the pace they were walking, but that would have been a few days ago.
This was now. It was trivial.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
They talked animatedly as they walked.

A small and a tall blonde drawing the attention of every male between puberty and dead, some beyond,  and
a number of envious women and girls encountered or driving.  "Maybe they think we're lost hookers," Tess
used one of Spike's terms she recalled.

"It's probably that we're walking. This is California, after all," Isabel ignored the look of a driver who was in
the process turning the corner ahead.

It would be a pleasant day.  There was a breeze from the Pacific somewhere to the west and that would
make the day temperate.

Soon they found Rivelo and closed in on the higher numbers, commenting along the way on the sight of flowers
in the fall. These were both more colorful and more fragrant to their heightened senses.

That must be it.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
They stopped in the next block across the sreet,

It had a porch with a few steps up and 1630 on one porch post. Both shivered a bit. This was real. The original
Sunnydale Slayer still lived here. With the more powerful of the two gods Glory. All the Roswell hybrid crap
and alien powers they'd encountered to date were meaningless compared to what they were a short distance
from at the moment.

"There's a real god in there in her own body who'll squash us like bugs. Buffy we could probably handle," isabel
spoke with a lack of confidence for the first time. It had seemed so plausible, until they finally were actually looking
at the house itself. The memory of her own desperate struggle in the Crashdown with the 'less powerful' pregnant
god Glory was vivid.

"I could mindwarp the Buffy girl, but not the god, I guess, since I did Nicholas. How powerful can a Slayer be?"
Tess began... "Is there any way to find out who's in there? Without exposing ourselves with mind probes and such?"

"We could use your cell phone to call," Isabel decided. "Maybe get them to go somewhere. Maybe this Magic Box
they talk about so much. Your voice's the same as their green demon's Tess. You fooled the vampire and the
robot OK."

"Buffy-Anne, "Tess corrected. "She's a person now. Buffy-Anne Harding," she reminded her.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
She wondered briefly what Buffy-Anne was doing with her first day as a real girl.
...

[Ed.-This following section  was originally later in this work, but chronologically seems
        to fit better here.]

At that exact moment, Buffy-Anne was starving.

All Spike had was blood and beer in the refrigerator. She'd waited until he was resting in a drunken
stupor from whatever he'd done last night.  Now it was OK for her to go foraging.

Her stomach was starting to cramp with feelings she'd never had as a robot. Immortality and becoming real
had its price. She started through the cemetery gates out onto the sidewalk. The sunlight was brighter
than she remembered from past times.

"Must be that I'm seeing it with real eyes and a real color sense, not with artifical or even magic tech means,"
she said aloud to hear her voice. It was different in her real ears. She was feeling giddy with both hunger and the
changed way things looked, plus the changes in her body as the original electro-mechanical portionof her had
converted completely to organic.

She used the teminology that Tess had given her. Was Tess still in Sunnydale? If only she were.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
Gazing in the window of a diner, she salivated for the first time. She felt like running in and stuffing herself,
but she'd get caught and never get to see Glory and Buffy, maybe never see Tess again.

Not an option.

Turning hesitantly, she crossed the street to the park that she remembered ran across through a tree line to
the hill up to the apartment building she'd once been to fighting Glory's gang with Buffy. Of course, it was
now where the pregnant other Glory and the girls lived these days.

She hadn't been back since then, though she'd been decapitated in the battle under the tower.
Looking back, it was like it happened to another person. She shook the past out of her head.

She had no real place to go, and kept unconsciously walking toward the only place she might
be welcome.

Her feet crunched the the leaves and she smelled them. That was new. Reaching down, Buffy-Anne
picked up a handful of them and sniffed their yellow, orange and brown crispness.

What would they taste like?

Experimentally, she began eating one of the yellow leaves, standing for a moment in the sunlight of the
pleasant autumn morning. A girl alone. Who once was a robot. The leaf was crunchy and slightly
bitter as she chewed.

"Buffy! What're you doing...? a distinctive voice demanded with some forcefulness.

She looked up and swallowed the leaf. It was the Slayer Dawn. She had lovely long brown hair
spilling straight to her breasts on both sides and another portion on her back.

"Tasting leaves...tasting autumn leaves," Buffy-Anne explained. "I'm so hungry..."
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
Dawn walked round her in a complete circle that Buffy-Anne followed by turning her head one way then
back the other. The Slayer was confident and rather cocky in her attitude and stride. Buffy-Anne had
heard that she was the Last and Greatest Slayer that ever was.

She was certainly the cutest.

Buffy-Anne wondered if she herself was pretty, or just a dirty apparent robot-girl in Dawn's eyes.

Dawn finished her circle and stood in front of her. "You...you're the Bot. What happened? You look younger
and your voice..." She grabbed the Bot's wrist when she reached out with one hand and began feeling
of Dawn's hair as it blew in the slight breeze.

Then she let go, as did the Bot.

"So soft. Mine's dirty and stringy. I'm dirty...and so hungry," she started crying.

Stunned, Dawn stepped closer and wiped one of the tears from her cheek. Then she ran her hand
down the Bot's cheek and placed her palm on her chest above her breasts. The Bot looked at her
through teary gray eyes.

"You've got an immortal's heartbeat, a real heartbeat?" Dawn's own gray eyes widened and her pupils
dilated as she found something she didn't understsnd.

Buffy-Anne hugged Dawn.

"Tess made me real. She freed me last night. Spike doesn't know yet. I'm the girl who was trapped in the robot.
Now I'm the girl...and I'm so hungry..." she was holding onto Dawn with superstrength of some sort.

Not really sure she understood, Dawn led the girl, robot, whatever, still clinging to her desperately, back up the
hill onto her and Curupira's patio. Unlocking the french doors, she guided the girl inside. "My home, mine
and Curupira's," she sat the girl down at the table that overlooked the patio and the park below. She
opened the refrigerator and got milk.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"We eat here mostly. The dining room's too formal for us," she sat down and poured a glass for for the girl.

"What is it?" the girl cupped both hands around the flowered glass.

"It's milk. You drink it," Dawn told her, as if she were a child.

"Oh, milk, food?"

"Yeah."

With great care, the girl that was a former robot held the glass in both her hands and tried to drink.
It spilled out of her mouth. Then she discovered the right combination of pouring and swallowing.

She gulped the entire glass in one long swallow. "That's better. Tastes good. More food, please, Dawn?"

Dawn made her up some cheese and cold cut sandwiches, all the while Buffy-Anne was watching her
intently from across the table. "Tess named me Buffy-Anne Harding. The hyphen I suggested. After
Buffy,"  she added seriously. " She said I could be their sister. Hers and Isabel's."

Dawn almost dropped the first sandwich as she was handing it to the girl. "Isabel...and Tess...from Roswell?"
she was now beginning to get a glimmer of what the girl had been saying earlier.

Between eager bites, Buffy-Anne gave up bits and pieces to the now alert Dawn. "Tess kissed me. She called
it a bestowal. She found me trapped inside the...device... that I can now control in my head.  She made me
back into a real girl and I have some powers..."

"Tess and her big sister left and killed some vampires by running through them at blurry speed. They just
exploded them," she spread the fingers on one hand descriptively as she took the next sandwich with the other.

Isabel in Sunnydale!

Dawn was putting 2 and 2 together and getting trouble, She still wanted to have a go at the blonde who'd
hurt Tess so badly. Their Glory was a god, but she wasn't that much of a fighter. Clare had actually done
most of the innovating and magic that had allowed Isabel to be run off.  'I can take her, I'm the Slayer',
she thought positively.

"More, please," Buffy-Anne held out a hand as she licked the mayo off her other fingers. "Use the yellow stuff
again this time," she pointed to the mustard. "It's more tingly on my tongue."

"How about this too, " she shook large amounts of tabasco sauce onto the sandwich before closing it. She recalled
something Kyle had said as they watched the three hybrids use it on everything. Her own Tess here seemed
you have lost the addiction after merging with Curupira, who had much more extensive food preferences.

"It's hot sauce. It'll really tingle your tongue. Tess and Isabel use it all the time." she passed the dripping sandwich
to a waiting Buffy-Anne. "What did the two girls look like?"

After a test bite, the girl practically inhaled the sandwich.

Dawn watched fascinated. The girl's bestowal was from a Rowell alien, it appeared, like she said.

Buffy-Anne was feeling much better as her magic reservoirs began getting their first self-received energies.
She reached down inside her mind and verified it. Soon she'd be able to find out what other powers Tess
had given her and what  ones she might have due to her super-tech imprisonment.

Answering Dawn, Buffy-Anne noted,"Tess is shorter than me, cute, long blonde hair and my new sister. She's
very strong. She kissed me and freed me..."

"...Yeah, yeah, and you're grateful..." Dawn interjected. "The big girl..."

"...Blonde, shorter hair, tall and big..." she cupped her hands in front of her own breasts and motioned outward.

"Definately Isabel," Dawn got up and found some leftovers in the refrigerator and began putting them on the table
for Buffy-Anne to explore, try and eat. What to do. "Why were they here?" she asked.

"They wanted a vial, whatever that is, of Dawn's Key Blood...oh, you're the Key..." Buffy-Anne suddenly burped
loudly and look alarmed.

"Don't worry," Dawn patted her on the shoulder reassuringly. "It's just from eating too fast. You'll learn."

Key Blood, Dawn thought as she watched the girl eat endlessly. Why would Roswell girls want it, Isabel and this other
Tess, apparently a secondary bestowal? Maybe the reason Isabel took on the powers and Glory. It was a possible
theory, especially since they'd told Buffy-Anne they were sisters. Maybe Isabel was on a mission to save her sister.

But only Curupira & Tess, and now herself, had used Key Blood since the tower portal had opened last May.
Did they think they could use it to go dimension hopping, too? Apparently. It was a pretty bold plan to come
right here under their noses and try to pull off such a plan.

They were either desperate or very clever. Maybe both

Still watching, she noticed that the girl now was slowing down and seemed to be filling up. She remembered her
own first post-immortality meal after the grief of Buffy's death had begun to become bearable. She'd had
Curupira there to talk to. Though back then she wasn't that vocal. She smiled. That was so long ago.

Buffy-Anne was a little like a  baby in some ways. She may have once before been a real girl, but either never
was very experienced or, more likely, had received some sort of selective mind warp or mind wipe.

Dawn got up and used some napkins to wipe Buffy-Anne's face and her food-soiled top. The girl smiled adoringly
up at her. "Will you be my friend? Tess and Isabel are my sisters. I love Tess. I'm going to kill Spike for all he did
to me when I was inside that robot." She was already depersonalizing her robot existence.

"Do tell," Dawn completed cleaning the girl up here as best she could.

She took her into the bathroom and introduced her to the things there. "You may be immortal, but you have to
use everything in here. Buffy-Anne looked blankly around. "What kind of girl were you? Don't you remember
anything?
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
Dawn turned her around to look at her face.

"They took me as a little girl and ripped out my mind. They kept it in one of the...Tess called it a device of some
sort. I didn' have a body for so long. Then I think this Warren stole some of the devices and used mine to make a
robot. I was a core of what Tess called alien super-technology with a fake lower technology outer part."

Dawn was horrified.

At the first part and not surprised at the last part.
It illuminated a minor Sunnydale mystery.

'Who're 'they'? she thought, as she she took off Buffy-Anne's clothes for her and showed her to the shower.
"Use the soap...yes, that. Use the shampoo in the bottle on your hair only. And lots of water, Yes, that
controls how hot it is. Haven't you ever bathed?"

"Spike never bathes. I never did either," she was vigorously soaping herself everywhere, enjoying the sensation
of the water spray, the soap and the shampoo suds on her sensitive skin. She held her face in the spray
and laughed softly. In the process she touched and explored her newly changed body everywhere as Dawn
watched, having left the door open in case the girl needed more help.

She looked so much like a younger Buffy, yet she seemed so helpless.

"Come on out. Now," she finally said loudly. Apparently the girl didn't want to stop the experience.

Showing her how to dry off, Dawn then blow-dried and brushed her hair. It was a bit curly and unruly
but it seemed shorter than Buffy's usually was,

Buffy-Anne followed her around the apartment naked while Dawn searched for clothing that was something like
her old clothing in color. "Your old clothes need to be thrown out. How long've you worn them? No, don't tell
me, I believe I can guess." She didn't want to think why her clothes were so dirty and soiled.

Maybe she ought to think about killing Spike, too. In spite of all he'd done. And she really felt guilty about
giving the Bot back to Spike in the summer. How could she have known?

"Here, put these on," Dawn tossed her some panties that she caught deftly in the air. As a finishing touch,
she put some light eyeliner and lipstick on Buffy-Anne. "There," she felt a little like she was helping
a girl of her own.

"There," she felt a little like she was helping a girl of her own.

"In some ways you're more real than I am," Dawn smoothed Buffy-Anne's hair. "I never was a real girl until
a little over a year ago. It's confusing. I know. But to answer your earlier question, I'll be your friend."

Dawn found a spare key and used a safety pin to attach it to the inside of her bra on the outside of her
right breast. Buffy-Anne looked down at her hands as she did so and smiled. Dawn realized she liked
her touching her and stepped away uncertainly after the task was done

"You can come over here in the morning and afternoon and eat or bathe. I'll try to be here at these times,"
she wrote the times down and held them up for Buffy-Anne to memorize. When the girl nodded, she
noticed she had no watch. "Use the TV, or VCR. They usually have the time at the bottom of the screen
on the morning shows."

Buffy-Anne was sincere in her frightening response, "I know about time. I fix the TV and VCR after Spike
breaks them. They were my only way of leaving the rathole he calls his lair. He would order the robot to
stay in one place and forget to tell it to move. The robot would eventually time out and default to watching
TV or a tape. That way I could at least see something else."

It reminded Dawn of both Glory's experiences of being helpless inside their Ben prisons. She wondered
if there was a connection in some way, at least in the concept, if not the manner. It also reminded her that
Buffy-Anne was not a simple robot anymore, but a complex being with a rapidly developing unique
personality.

"I'm so sorry. How could I have known?" This time aloud.

"What's your plan?" Dawn asked, "Beyond killing Spike, of course?"

"I'm supposed to get Buffy to tell Glory I can help her to understand and use super-technology magic things,
like the one in my head. That's one of my powers Tess helped create. I don't yet know the other ones, except
I'm pretty strong and very fast, but not like Tess and isabel."

"Hmm," Dawn said, then gave her one of Glory's credit cards. Telling her how to sign it so it could be verified
it was her. "The cards are slightly magical so the funds can't be traced to any of her accounts. No one will
question you even if you sign it with an obscene word or two...but don't - use your name...the one Tess gave
you:

"Try not to use it until you leave Spike. You have no place to put anything, except maybe meals."

With that she said a brief spell that included Buffy-Anne Harding at the end, giving the card to her.
Buffy-Anne stuck that in her bra also. "Do you want a purse or something?" Dawn asked her. She nodded
'no'.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"What now?" Buffy-Anne asked as she looked at herself in Dawn's dresser mirror. She was pretty now, like
Dawn, but different. maybe more like Tess. That made her happy.

"Come over here and sit on the bed with me. We need to try to figure out why they needed the Key Blood
and where they want to get to with it.  Were they coming after me or just the sample you talked about?"
Dawn looked approvingly at her newly clean and fresh friend, Buffy-Anne. She looked like Buffy
might have looked at Dawn's age.

She pulled her legs up on the bed to better talk to the girl. Buffy-Anne ran her hand over the bedspread
to feel the texture of the blue and red patterned fabric. "I don't have a real bed. Just a blanket or two.
But after I leave Spike, do you think Buffy and Glory will let me have my own bed?"

Dawn blinked tears from her own eyes. "Yes, there're extra bedrooms at the house where I used to
live. Maybe they'd give you mine," she suggested.

Buffy-Anne looked pleased at the prospect. "You mean a whole room to myself. Like this one?"
Dawn nodded 'yes'. 'Being real is going to be so much fun," the girl said enthusiastically.

"About the Key Blood..." Dawn reminded her gently.

"Oh," Buffy-Anne said. "Well, I wasn't myself then. I was the robot. I have trouble remembering everything
they said. Maybe they were going to the hospital?"

"Maybe the hospital?" Dawn mused. She couldn't recall any other time her blood was spilled outside
her home. Something was nagging at her, but seemed just out of reach.

[Ed- As noted in "Dawn the Last Slayer, Part 1 of 3" the vial Curupira dropped near the tower was spelled by that Glory
so that those who handled it promptly forgot about it afterward. Curupira and Tess were apparently not affected
           earlier.

Buffy-Anne was looking at her silently from the side of the bed. "How do I repay you, Dawn? You're
my friend. Maybe my only friend here now."

Dawn rolled her eyes. Buffy-Anne was going to be a worry for her, especially if she staked Spike. At
the moment she was too naive to be on the loose alone. "When're you going to go to Buffy and Glory?"
she asked.

"Soon?" Buffy-Anne responded vaguely. She never took her eyes off Dawn and started again to turn
and reach to touch Dawn's hair again. For some reason, it fascinated the girl.

This time Dawn let her. She also decided that she'd search for the Roswell girls on her own before
telling Buffy that they, now supergirls, were in town and she needed to go interrogate Spike and the Bot.
"I'll get Buffy to go by after I look around myself, starting at the hospital. When she comes, you tell her
everything, except about coming here and about me. OK?"

Dawn still wanted to do some serious Slayer hurting on the big blonde before calling in Buffy
and Glory. But she couldn't tell Buffy-Anne that.

"Sure, including the money that Isabel gave Spike to get me some clothes and shoes of my own," she
looked down at the pair of Dawn's shoes that she was now wearing. "I'll want new clothes first, so
I can give these back. I guess if Spike notices these, I can say I stole them. He'd believe that."

Dawn was forming a new and very negative opinion of Spike with each piece of information
Buffy-Anne imparted.

"Don't forget the part about you being able to work the super technology magic stuff," Dawn added.
"It's possibly related to their alien hybrid origins."

"They're not robots or like me, though," Buffy-Anne was thoughtful. Her sentences were now more
complex and her logic more understandable than when Dawn had first met her eating leaves
only a little while ago.

"They're just different. Tess is wonderful. Sorry, I can't help it. She's the Warrior and Isabel is
the Queen. I heard them after they killed the vampires. I have really superior hearing."

Dawn puzzled over this. "The Warrior and the Queen? Sounds like a movie title."

She gently pulled Buffy-Anne's hand from her her hair. The girl had started exploring Dawn's
right breast with her insidiously nimble fingers. Dawn saw that she was blushing now. "I just
wanted to see if they felt like mine do now."

She squeezed one of her own. "They feel pretty much alike. Real."

Dawn lectured her motherly. "You just can't go around touching anyone like that, or yourself,
in public - well around others anyway. "You need to be trained to be a girl. I guess I'll try.
If you come over here this evening, and especially after you leave Spike. Not that I'm the
best choice for being normal," she smiled.

Buffy-Anne started to reach out for her hair again anyway. Dawn blurred slightly and captured
her wrists. "Uh-uh. Not after I told you 'no'. You need to remember not to act without thinking."

Dawn released her wrists.

"I can do other things," Buffy-Anne said sincerely. "I can pick pockets for Spike and his stupid
crowd. I can tell real money from counterfeit and, like you and your sister, I've killed."

"All excellent life talents," Dawn had to laugh. This was going to take some effort.

But in the meantime, the girl was a thief and Dawn had just given her a key to the apartment.
Without pausing, she blurrred and tried to retrieve the key pinned to the inside of Buffy-Anne's
bra, thinking to do it so quickly she'd know it only afterward.

Buffy-Anne somehow caught Dawn's forearms in mid-blur!

She was strong, immensely superstrong. Instead of pushing Dawn's hands away, she pulled them
in to her, forcing Dawn's cupped fingers into her bra cup, near where the key was, and around
her breast, holding them there.

She looked Dawn in the eyes from very short range. "I'm not so simple or naive as you might think,
little Miss Slayer. I want you to be my friend, but I also want to touch you and I want you to touch me.
But you're afraid, aren't you?"

Dawn eyes widened, wondering why she couldn't blur out of the girl's grip. Then she realized she
didn't want to - at least not yet. What did she, the Slayer, have to be afraid of? A former robot?

"Do you know why, my only friend, Dawn?" Buffy-Anne was very close to her and was almost
whispering.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"Because I want to be a little bad and try everything?" Dawn spoke softly, wondering what was
going to happen. Their eyes were still locked on one another. Dawn could see her pupils
were dilated large in her gray irises.

"Dawn, you're the Key. You're so new a girl you squeak. I'm new, too, but old in experience."

"You think you know what I think about, but you're wrong. I'm now a real girl, about your age
physically, but never more than a child when Spike began abusing me. The robot did everything
he wanted. I could only watch and feel everything from inside with growing disgust. I couldn't
make the programs stop."

"Later, when the novelty wore off, he'd rent me out. He called it "Banging the Slayer" business."

"Did you ever wonder where he got his money for booze and his gambling debts? Either he made
me, the robot me, steal for him or he'd trade me for a few hours or even a night. Even after you
gave me back this last summer..." She was crying with bitterness and shame.

"Yes, I was a sex slave, a prostitute, a whore...and inside, just a little girl..."

Dawn gasped in sheer horror at this latest revelation of Buffy-Anne's. It was at this moment
she decided that, when the time was right, she was going to slay Spike. That time
was surprisingly near, though she couldn't know it at the moment.

...she continued, ignoring Dawn's distressed look. "I probably won't be able to have a guy
touch me in any intimate way now without killing them on the spot. I can do it now. Tess freed
me and gave me the powers. I don't think she knows what I know, though."

"i'd like to touch you and see if that's what I want to do, to see if it's OK. But I know from the
mixed memories I got from Tess, that go back to your demon girl friend here, that you've got
other ideas beyond me," she had stopped crying and managed a tiny grim smile.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"Kyle," Dawn smiled a bit at the thought and at Buffy-Anne's insight. "Kyle, from Roswell, this
weekend. I bestowed on him. We kissed a lot. And he touched me...there sort of  like I'm
touching you."

"Oh," Buffy-Anne looked down and realized she still held Dawn's arms captive. She released
them and waited for her to remove her hands.

Dawn didn't. Not yet.

She was seemingly frozen in that odd position. Not knowing what to do. Realizing that anything
she did, or didn't do,  would have major consequences.

Buffy-Anne pulled Dawn closer. "You don't have to worry, I'm not going to attack you. I'm going to
just show you everything I know about love the way it should be. The way it wasn't for me. The way
I saw it on the TV. Something that I knew I'd never have."

"I'm going to have to touch you some," She paused.

"But not the way you think, " she said with a giggle, because Dawn was already starting to pull
her own flowered top off.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
She had it partway over her head.

"i thought you meant..." Dawn laughed nervously,"...Like Tara and Willow...Buffy and Glory...you
know...girl-girl stuff.." she faltered to a stop, embarrassed, and dropped the garment back down.

"Now that would be tempting," Buffy-Anne admitted, "But we can do this with all our clothes on.
Think of it as a special shared bestowal. No tricks on my part. You're my only friend. Excepting
Tess, and she's not here on this bed with me."

"I will say this, Dawn, you ARE a little bad," she laughed. "And not afraid after all. Remember, if it
doesn't work out with Kyle, we can pick this up where you stopped just now. It might be fun for both
of us."

"That's a promise," Dawn was quite serious. "But I still want to be your friend and help you
in the meantime." She took both Buffy-Anne's hands in hers. "What're we going to do now?"

"Well, before the bestowal kiss..." she stopped. "I assume from your earlier rather abrupt
start at disrobing that you're not concerned about kissing a girl..."

Dawn shook her head. "I've kissed lots of girls..."

"Your sister doesn't count..."

"...No. Uh, yes, but in Roswell when I was preparing  my first ever bestowal, on Kyle, I practiced
for a while kissing Glory and Curupira/Tess, since they'd all done bestowals before. It's
a bit of an art, not just a simple kiss."

[Ed.- See "Dawn-Three Days in Roswell, Parts 1-4" for Kyle and Dawn's first days together.]
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
"It also really got Kyle's interest, too," she fondly remembered that day.

"it was Tess' first bestowal on me, too," Buffy-Anne said. "And this'll be my first. Now, I want
you to think of Kyle and you together, maybe here in this room. I'll add my own romantic and
'special' knowledge. I think you'll be really pleased. It'll be better than any virtual reality
ever could be. My gift to you."

"So I'll be a virgin with lots of experience, huh?" that ought to be a surprise to Kyle, Dawn
nodded. "Let's do it."

Dawn spread their arms apart sideways and they interlaced their fingers. They looked at one
another for a brief while. Dawn let the memory of those three days in Roswell spill into her
mind. Her first touch onto Kyle's chest at the doorway with Tess...

They kissed.

For the next few hours Buffy-Anne and Dawn were essentially motionless sitting on the bed
with their legs crossed, arms spread and hands interlocked, kissing softly in a shared bestowal
that should not be possible.

It was something new, to be true.

Dawn lived a day with Kyle. An endless day of sublime romance, tender moments and exquisite,
unbelievable love-making in ways she wouldn't have thought possible. Incredibly, both girls
shared the experience.

Dawn and Buffy-Anne were able to silently communicate their reactions and happiness to
one another during the whole unreal, yet more real than reality, day.

In future times, both would look at one another and smile secretly, especially after Dawn's
first times with Kyle.

Buffy-Anne finally had her longed for true romance experience.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
And in the process managed to bury all the bad memories of her time as the helpless girl
in the Bot. Dawn did this for her without her being aware of it. After all, she was the last
Slayer, The Key and a Curupiran near-god supergirl.

Sometimes she forgot the near-god part. But not this time.

Both would eventually kill Spike together, but that was another time and another place.

They never were aware of a cat-quiet Curupira wandering in from the elevator hallway to
get some more ice to take back upstairs to Clare.

The green girl knew they were going to be staying out of the upper floor of the above
apartment for awhile, since Buffy's Glory had teleported in at the head of the stairs,
announced her presence again and disappeared into the bedroom with Pat.

That's when she saw Dawn and the back of a blonde who was obviously her sister Buffy,
engaged in some sort of clearly sensual bestowal that Curupira had never heard of.

It seemed tantric in concept. Without interferring, she sensed that both girls were
involved in some sort of intense magical sexual fantasy.

She watched for almost 15 minutes and they barely moved in their ritual position. How odd
that both Buffy and Glory were being unfaithful to one another at the same time in the same
building.
Copyright © 2001 gloryisagod.com/DS/G(G)
Shrugging at the strange sexual habits in Sunnydale, including her own, Curupira left just as
quietly, without the ice. Life was simpler on her own world, but really boring compared to
Sunnydale.
